Size

These scorpions grow to a size of 5 cm.

Habitat and Distribution

The Italian Wood Scorpion has a large range across Africa, Asia and Europe. They’re found in warm environments around ruins, in buildings and crevices of walls, also in eastern Mediterranean mountain forests.

Age

They can live for up to 8 years.

Diet

These carnivores feed largely on insects such as crickets.

Threats

This species is not currently listed on the IUCN RED list.
