Animal Experience COVID Restrictions

While we are being governed at the moment by various COVID restrictions depending on the tier we are in, there may be changes which we need to make to experiences, and these may come very very little warning due to the level of notice we are given in some instances by the government. These changes are completely out of our control and we are doing everything we can to ensure that we can continue with as many of our experiences as possible. Please check below to see which restrictions, changes or cancellations we may need to make:

Keeper for the Day

The keeper for the day experience will go ahead as usual, however whilst in tier 4 we will not be able to work with or see any animals which are indoors. We also currently are still including your lunch in the experience, but this will need to be eaten outdoors, with plenty of under cover seating available. Other changes to your experience are:

  • When ever animals are being fed during this experience gloves will need to be worn.
  • Hands will need to be washed or antibacterial gel used regularly throughout your day.
  • Face coverings having to be worn throughout the whole experience unless you are exempt. We do ask that children wear masks as well during the experience if they are comfortable in them.
  • On arrival the person / people doing the experience will be given a temperature check using a contactless thermometer. If you have a fever you will not be allowed to enter the park.
  • Where ever possible try to remember your social distancing during the experience. Due to the changes we have put in to place 1m may be sufficient, however 2m is preferable.
  • Equipment used during all of our experiences is cleaned between experiences.
  • Please limit the number of personal belongings you bring with you as much as possible (we understand that in some cases this may not be possible). Preferably no more than you can carry in your pockets or try to leave items with someone accompanying you.
