Qattara Gecko Natural History


This medium size gecko grows to 9 cm.

Habitat and Distribution

This species inhabits vegetated areas of sandy deserts in the Qattara depression and Siwa Oasis of north-western Egypt as well as being recorded in the Jialo Oasis in eastern Libya.


Their diet consists of insects.


The IUCN lists this species as least concern as it has a wide distribution and population
