One free essential carer per disabled visitorFree

Paying visitors who receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payments (PIP) are eligible to bring with them one essential carer, free of charge, subject to written evidence in the form of photographic staff identification cards (for registered care homes only) or a letter from PIP, DLA or a medical professional on NHS headed paper.  The evidence provided must be dated within the last 2 years and must be one of the 4 mentioned above – no other cards, letters or blue badges will be accepted as evidence.  Evidence as described above only needs to be brought in when purchasing the ticket as a note of this will be made on our system.  However the evidence must be brought to the park (in date) each time the season ticket is renewed.

Please note that our staff are not medical professionals and as such we do not expect them to make a judgement decision about a disability without the above written evidence.  As such, if evidence is not brought or not in date, the full charge for entry will be required, both for visitors and carers.

The disabled visitor will hold a season ticket which needs to be brought to the park upon every visit.  The carer will not receive their own card, instead being included as an additional entry on the disabled visitors ticket.  As such a carer cannot use the ticket without the disabled visitor.

Carers must be aged 16 or older and only one carer is permitted free entry to the park per visit using the disabled visitors pass, however it does not need to be the same carer on each following visit and the carer as such will not be required to take a photo.

Disabled season tickets and accompanying carer tickets cannot be purchased online.
