Photography Days

Please note that we are no longer selling new tickets for this experience.  We still have the dates shown below available for pre-paid ticket holders, however will not be continuing with further dates once these are gone.  If you want an opportunity to get some really nice photos of the animals please see more details of our VIP tours.  If you still have an outstanding voucher please get in touch.


Here is a rough guide on how the day will flow, please note that the ammount of time spent with these species and the possibility of getting up close to some of these animals may change on the day – this list is to be used as a guide only.

10:10PenguinsMay see them feed and walk if the animals want to
10:30Ring Tailed LemursFrom inside the walk through enclosure before it opens to the public
10:50TortoiseFrom inside the enclosure for some great close-ups
11:30Lions, Jaguars and Pumas
12:00MandrillsYour guide will offer them some food on the island to give you the best shots from the bridge.
12:15Lunch(Not included)
13:00Black & White Ruffed LemursFrom inside the enclosure - depending on the group size this may need to be done in smaller groups
13:20Reptiles & Invertebrates (mainly Bearded Dragons, Corn Snakes & Chile Rose Tarantulas)Out of their enclosures for macro opportunities
13:40Tropical HouseAllow your guide to help you find some of our most colour inhabitants (such as Lorikeets, Turacos and weather permitting also butterflies)
14:00MeerkatsYour guide will feed them for some great action shots
14:35WolvesYour guide will help you get the best angles of these animals.
14:50FlamingosSpend 10 minutes in the Flamingo walk through before your guide says farewell for the day. At this point you are free to remain in the park and explore any other areas until the park closes

Check list:

  • There is a Restaurant on site offering hot and cold food and drinks. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring your own food.
  • Comfortable clothing and shoes with the option of a light jacket all of which you do not mind getting a bit of dirt on.
  • Digital SLR Camera equipment* is preferable for a day such as this but some modern compact digital cameras are capable of offering excellent results as well.
  • Essential items are fully charged camera Batteries and memory cards with plenty of free space on them.

*If using Digital SLR equipment, a standard zoom lens and long zoom lens are a basic requirement, preferably with protection filters attached. Additional items worth bringing but that are not essential are: A macro lens, a dedicated flash unit and monopod for large zoom lenses.
