If someone you loved was passionate about wildlife, conservation or our park why not commemorate them by sponsoring an enclosure / animal in their memory. The idea works in much the same way as our adoption scheme but is designed to purely be available for people to leave a special mark for someone who is no longer with us.
We ask for a minimum donation of £300, and if this is meant for a specific species we will ensure that those funds are used directly to benefit the animals you have requested. In return you will receive an aluminium memorial plaque (5″ x 2″) engraved with “Sponsored in Loving Memory of **NAME**”, which will be mounted on the enclosure of your choice. However, unlike our adoption scheme this plaque will remain on the enclosure as long as the park is here.
In contrast we can also cater for a further popular way of commemorating a loved one. As can often be seen in parks, woodland and other zoos we would be more than happy to help supply you with a memorial bench to be placed in the park. Such a bench would also have a memorial plaque placed on it. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this option and we will do all we can try source such a bench for you.

Bug Garden Sponsorship
An alternative type of sponsorship is one of our butterfly stickers in the big garden, which once again will remain at the park without a time limit however there is no choice in where the sticker will go and the space is more limited. This is a perfect option for a memorial sticker (or a sponsorship for yourself) amongst other sponsorship stickers in an area which during the spring and summer is alive with colourful flowers and flying insects. This is a beautiful and bright option if you want to just have someone’s name nestled in a bright and easy to see place at Wingham Wildlife Park.
